Aragon

Welcome to

Aragon

A 1920s neighborhood of period revival homes, less than a mile from Downtown San Mateo.

Aragon

Storybook homes on tree-lined streets

Overview

Inspired by legend and romance, Aragon has some of the most whimsical homes in California. Founded in 1927, Aragon is noted for its tree-lined streets and architectural exuberance. Storybook English cottages, French Normandies, Spanish homes and New England Colonials, all beautifully detailed and maintained, sit cozily behind manicured lawns.

Aragon lies just south of Baywood, less than a mile from Downtown San Mateo, and Central Park and its playing fields are within walking distance. Above all, Aragon is a real neighborhood where neighbors know one another and share a common pride in the knowledge that where they live is unique on the Peninsula.

Schools

Baywood Elementary, Borel Middle School and Aragon High School are the public schools closest to Aragon, and St. Matthew’s Episcopal Day School, a private school for kindergarten through eighth grade, is nearby.

School assignments depend on the address, so check with the San Mateo-Foster City School District and the San Mateo Union High School District for a specific home.
